The Christmas Giving Project: Lighting Homes and Hearts This Christmas
Christmas is a time for connection, for giving, gratitude, and remembering what really matters.
At First Choice Solar, our work has always been about more than panels, inverters, and batteries. It’s about helping people take control of their energy future, easing pressure on families, and building a cleaner, kinder community for everyone.
This year, that belief inspired something new.
The Christmas Giving Project:
The idea began around the office table one afternoon when someone asked, “What if we could give the gift of energy itself?”
That question sparked The Christmas Giving Project; an initiative that will see two complete solar and battery systems donated to local families doing it tough.
For many households, rising electricity costs are a quiet burden that grows heavier each season. By gifting a solar and battery setup, we’re not just easing that financial strain but offering something long-term: independence, comfort, and hope.
Each nomination is read with care, every story considered. Once eligibility is confirmed, recipients will be chosen through a verified community draw; a process designed to keep things transparent and fair.
The installations will take place early in the new year, turning the glow of Christmas into a bright start to 2026.
Kids in Need:
The Christmas Giving Project doesn’t stop at rooftops. This year, we’re also extending that same spirit of giving to children who might otherwise go without.
We’re proud to partner with Baby Give Back, a Queensland charity that’s been supporting families in crisis since 2017. The organisation collects and redistributes essential baby items, from clothing and prams to toys and cots, all safety-checked and delivered through social service agencies to families in need.
Together with our long-time partner GoodWe, we’re donating $4,000 worth of brand-new toys to children across South-East Queensland, $2,000 from us and $2,000 from GoodWe. It’s a small gesture that we hope will bring big smiles and remind families that they’re not alone this Christmas.
A Shared Spirit of Giving
Both initiatives come from the same place, the belief that good energy isn’t just something we install; it’s something we live by.
Whether it’s through powering homes or lifting hearts, we’re proud to play a small part in making life a little brighter for others.
To our customers, partners, and team thank you for helping make projects like this possible, and to the families we meet along the way; you remind us why our work truly matters.
Because good energy will always be about more than power. It’s about people.
