2025: A Year of Growth, Grit, and Genuine Gratitude

Before we dive into the year that’s been, here’s a short note from our MD:

“2025 was a big one, for the industry, for our team, and for me personally.
I want to thank every customer who trusted us with their home or business this year. We don’t take lightly the responsibility of working on someone’s roof or helping them navigate rebates, rising costs and changing weather conditions.
To our team, thank you for showing up every day with integrity and pride in your work.
And to our community partners and local clubs, thank you for allowing us to be part of something bigger than solar.
I’m proud of how far we’ve come, and I’m excited for where we’re heading.”

Looking Back at 2025:

This wasn’t a quiet year for solar.
Rebates shifted again, cyclones and unpredictable weather pushed Queensland around more than once, and energy independence became a more urgent topic for households across the state.

Through all of that movement, one thing stayed steady…the trust placed in us by thousands of Queenslanders.  Because of that trust, we’re finishing 2025 just shy of 15,000 installations.
A milestone built one roof, one family, one business, one conversation at a time.

Growing Our Team, Strengthening Our Capability:

Behind the scenes, this year was all about building depth,not speed.

  • We expanded our team, bringing in more electricians, installers, and admin support to strengthen the quality and consistency our customers rely on.
  • We tightened our systems, fine-tuned communication, and improved customer flow across the entire journey.
  • And in a moment that meant a lot to all of us, we were honoured to receive GoodWe’s Retailer of the Year Awar;  recognition of the standard we strive to maintain every single day.

Our Community Footprint Grew Even Bigger This Year:

Community isn’t something we tack on at the end, it’s part of who we are and why we exist as a local business. The people who support us are the same people we meet at weekend sport, school drop-offs, the local shops…and we’ve never forgotten that.

In 2025, we expanded our community footprint more than ever before:

  • Sponsorship of the Burleigh Bears Rugby League Club, Palm Beach Soccer Club, Miami Oztag, and countless grassroots programs that keep our region active, connected and thriving.
  • Deepening our involvement in not one, but two annual giving projects that now sit at the heart of First Choice Solar.
    • Project 1: Making sure no child goes without the magic of Christmas by gifting presents to local kids who would otherwise miss out.
    • Project 2: Providing complete solar systems to families doing it tough, giving them long-term relief on energy costs and a bit more breathing room during hard times.

And we’re not slowing down.

As our business grows, our commitment to community grows with it. In 2026 and beyond, we’ll continue to expand our support so we’re always giving back to the community that has supported us from day one.

Weather, Resilience & the Shift Toward Energy Independence:

With cyclones and extreme weather patterns becoming more common, conversations around resilience changed this year.
More customers reached out for solar + battery solutions not just for savings, but for peace of mind.

We saw firsthand how Queenslanders want control over their power and we’re committed to leading the way with reliable, future-ready energy solutions.

Looking Ahead to 2026:

We step into 2026 with clarity, momentum and a lot to be excited about:

  • New and improved battery offerings
  • More refined energy management technology
  • A growing team with even stronger capability
  • Expanded community partnerships
  • Continued guidance for customers as rebate changes roll out again

We’re ready for the year ahead and forever grateful for the foundations built this year.
